Remove AI Label

Remove the AI label from your photos — instantly, free.

AI image tools hide an «AI-generated» tag inside every file they export. Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and Pinterest read that hidden data and label your post. This tool finds it and strips it out — before you post.

How it works

Three steps, a few seconds per photo. The tool reads the raw bytes of your file, removes only the metadata blocks, and leaves every pixel exactly as it was.

1

Upload a photo

Drop in a JPG, PNG or WebP from Midjourney, DALL·E, Firefly, Stable Diffusion — or any camera or editor. The built-in checker instantly shows what hidden data it carries.

2

We strip C2PA & XMP

The metadata segments — C2PA Content Credentials, XMP packets, EXIF, GPS, prompts and generation settings — are cut out of the file byte by byte. The image data itself is never re-encoded.

3

Download & post

Save the cleaned file, or grab the whole batch as one ZIP, and post it anywhere. With the AI info gone from the file, there is nothing left for a platform to read a label from.

What we strip

Everything below lives inside the file, invisible when you look at the picture — but fully readable by social platforms, stock sites and AI detectors.

C2PA Content CredentialsThe signed "cradle-to-post" manifest AI tools attach to prove a file was AI-made.
XMP packetsAdobe's metadata format — carries creation tool, edit history and AI disclosures.
EXIF dataSoftware name, timestamps and device details written by generators and editors.
GPS coordinatesThe exact location hidden in many exports — a privacy risk even without any AI label.
Prompts & generation settingsStable Diffusion parameters and ComfyUI prompt/workflow data stored in PNG text chunks.
AI-tool markersSignatures naming Midjourney, DALL·E, Firefly and other generators, wherever they appear in the metadata.
IPTC fields & commentsNews-style metadata blocks and embedded text comments left by editing software.
What stays untouchedYour pixels, resolution and — for PNG and WebP — color profiles. No compression, no quality loss.

C2PA, XMP, EXIF — what is actually inside your file?

An image file is two things: the picture, and a set of data blocks describing it. Platforms judge the blocks — most people never see them.

C2PA

An open standard (Content Credentials) that attaches a signed record of how a file was made — including "created by AI" — designed to survive editing and re-uploading. ChatGPT, Firefly and many cameras now write it by default.

XMP

Adobe's XML-based metadata packet. Generators record the tool name and settings here, and editors keep appending to it. Instagram and Facebook scan XMP for AI disclosures when you post.

EXIF

The oldest of the three — originally camera data (model, exposure, GPS). AI tools write their software name into EXIF too, which is why a plain metadata viewer can already give an AI image away.

The recommended workflow

Get the cleanest result by cleaning at the right moment — after your final edit, right before posting.

  1. Finish everything first. Generate, upscale, retouch and resize in your usual tools. Any later edit can write fresh metadata back into the file.
  2. Clean the final file here. Run the exported image through the checker above and confirm what was found and removed.
  3. Post the cleaned copy. Upload the downloaded file — not the original — to Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest or your store.
  4. Keep your originals. Store the untouched files privately. They hold your prompts and settings, which are useful for your own records — just don't post them.
One honest limitation

This tool removes metadata — the labels stored around the picture. It cannot remove watermarks baked into the pixels themselves, such as Google's SynthID, and no tool can promise that. Platforms also weigh other signals, so removing metadata cannot guarantee how any single post will be treated.

What it does guarantee: the file itself no longer declares "AI-generated" to anything that reads it.

Frequently asked questions

The questions everyone asks before trusting a tool with their photos.

Why do Instagram and Facebook label my posts as AI-generated?+

Because the file tells them to. When an AI tool exports an image, it writes C2PA Content Credentials and XMP data into the file stating how it was made. Meta's and TikTok's upload systems read those blocks automatically and attach the "AI info" / "Made with AI" label — no human reviews your picture.

Will removing metadata reduce my photo quality?+

No. For JPG, PNG and WebP the tool edits the file's byte structure and removes only the metadata blocks — the compressed image data is copied through untouched, so there is no re-encoding and no quality loss. AVIF files are the one exception: they are re-encoded to PNG, which is lossless but can produce a larger file.

Are my photos uploaded to a server?+

Never. Every step — checking, cleaning, ZIP packing — runs locally in your browser with JavaScript. You can prove it: load this page, switch off your internet, and the tool still works. Your images never leave your device.

Does this remove SynthID or visible watermarks?+

No. SynthID and similar systems hide their mark inside the image pixels, not in metadata, and removing them is a different (and unreliable) process. The same goes for a watermark you can see. This tool handles the metadata labels — which is what triggers the platform tags.

Is it guaranteed the label will not appear after cleaning?+

No honest tool can guarantee that. Metadata is the main trigger platforms use, and removing it removes that trigger — but platforms can also apply classifiers that look at the image itself, or labels carried from earlier uploads of the same file. Clean the file before its first post for the best result.

Which files can I clean, and how many at once?+

JPG, PNG and WebP are cleaned losslessly; AVIF is converted to a clean PNG. Each file can be up to 15 MB, and you can process up to 30 photos in one batch, then download them together as a single ZIP.

What is the difference between the checker and the remover?+

They are two halves of the same step here. The moment you add a photo, the checker scans its bytes and lists exactly what it found — C2PA, XMP, EXIF, GPS, prompts, tool markers — and the remover deletes those blocks in the same pass. The card for each photo shows what was found, what was removed, and the size before and after.
